Louisville-based Coco Yam Band performs world music encompassing Afro-pop, Latin, Reggae, Highlife, Afrobeat and some R&B too! They begin their world travelogue with a mid tempo West African instrumental. Then, over the course of several songs, they raise the temperature with mighty horns, melodic vocals, driving percussion and interlocking guitar parts; all propped up by a rhythmic foundation of bass, keyboards and drums.
